How to Create a Restore point in System Restore? The system restore is enabled by default, so you just need to create a restore point because if you have a restore point stored in system restore, you can restore your PC and rolled back settings, software or files whenever you want.
I am using windows7 in this tutorial, for your information.
Follow these steps to create a restore point:
1) Open system restores tab.
· My computer>>System Properties>>System Protection.
(Another way to find system restore tab.)
· Type in search “Create Restore point” (Then you will get system restore option in list).
2) Then you will see a window like this.
· Select Local Disk>>Configure>>Restore system settings and previous files or only restore the previous version of files (choose any option from these two according to your needs, I am suggesting you use 1st one.)>>apply.
Now you can see the protection option is turned on.
System Restore will automatically create a current date restore point for your system.
